Wootton Memorial Playing Field – where the action is!
Wootton Memorial Playing Field was purchased for the village in January 1948, dedicated in perpetuity to provide sports facilities for village residents and their guests. The area of 4.4 acres represents a tremendous asset for the village, and provides many opportunities to sporting activities. Ann and Kip Day play a tremendous role in overseeing the playing field, co-ordinating most of the activities, with Ann looking after the Playing Fields Management Committee and Kip looking after the grounds and the Burditch Hall.

We are also keen to find new volunteers to help maintain the playing field, and to support the Sports Club. For example, Woottoners are currently trying to relaunch the Wootton Cricket Club. If you would like to know more or perhaps get involved, please contact either Ann Day (PFMC Chairman) or Ted Thomas (Sport Club Chairman), or send an email to **
