wootton shop

Seasonal, local produce from our award winning community shop

We are a community run shop in the centre of the village, opened in 2007 to serve the community and visitors. The main aim when taking on the premises was to establish a village shop for the benefit of the community. Many years on and our aim is to continue to provide the village with a shop that is well stocked and enticing.

We provide a service within the village whether it is a newspaper in the morning, last minute lunch box items for the children or a more comprehensive shop for those that are unable to travel out of the village easily.

We are open 7 days a week providing a wide range of foods and drinks along with a small postal service, dry cleaning, prescription pick up and general grocery supplies. Wherever possible we aim to use local producers and suppliers.

The shop is a wonderful hub for the village with over 40 volunteers and locals using it as a place to stay up to date with village life.

If you would be interested in helping out in the shop, in any small way, please do get in touch. We cannot run without our volunteers so please join us if you have a spare hour or two!
